ya ive actually seen that white e46 in person..its sick...he only got the red pinstripe on one side and all black on the otha side......works pretty well on white but i dono...im still unsure about how good itll look on brilliant silver...ne1 wanna photoshop itt? lol

I think there is only a handful of cars, that wheels like that would fit on.
White with red markings, black with red markings, or perhaps a red car with black markings and tinted windows.
Anything else, and they are way over the top, atleast imho.

+1 here. That colored lip look is still kinda growing on me, but IMHO only a handful of cars can really pull that off, well let me rephrase a few...black rims with color matched lip is unique, but if it isnt exotic..360/430, gallardo, murci...it will look ricey...its gotta be able to "pull" that look and have a factor as a stock car already..

Hersh please dont do black wheels with red lips i dont think it will go with your set up, i will go for the time attack look if i was you.

I was at F1 Motorsport on Saturday and I saw this guy who came in to have his wheels mounted and they were painted MAtt Black but with a Silver line on the lip like the time attack style....it was very original and very nice and not played out like the red stripe is.

There's someone on E46fanatics that had a photshop done of the CSL wheels with a white stripe and it looked really nice and different. If I can find the post I'll post it on here for you to see.

I couldn't find the one where the Matt Black Wheels were with the white stripe but you can kinda get the idea with this pic on how a Matt Black wheel would look like with a Silver stripe.

I don't even know if this is what you are in the market to buy but I'm just posting on this thread because I assume that you are.

In my opinion...if you are all Carbon Fibered out with silver you should just get those Carbon Fiber Wheels that out now.

freddy & CLKFAN - na i wasnt plannin on doin red lips at all no way...and ya if nethin itd b the time attack look with the red pinstripe but i dont even know about that...but the idea that CLKFAN just said mite b okay....all black wheels with just a silver pinstripe...i was plannin on flat black with a colormatched (silver) lip....but not exactly set on anything yet...thanks for the pics...

i also just thought up somethin else but i wanna try photoshoppin somethin up for it ta c how it mite look...

i like the deep dish black w/ the red lip look....i might do it one day. i'd have to lower the car a good bit tho. so far, i've really enjoyed the amg suspension, and don't really want to change it. I'd also have to space the wheels out another cm or so for the agressive look.

yeah, that's a sick look on a porsche. wish i had photoshop, i'd check out what a black 55 would look like slammed on black w/ red deep dish (not time attack)...i might try to find a friend w/ some photoshop skills before long.

I want to do that with the factory 18"s on my 993, but with the yellow stripe. Right now the wheels are factory silver and knackered to all hell. Did you do those Gayman wheels in-house or send them out? What would I expect to pay for a pro job like that?

I still need to drop the tail a bit and get it re-aligned and corner weighted.

First....all those Porches up there are freaking hot, especially the two Opal posted up, those are my favorite, Blackbenzz-your friends car is definitely hot too! And DCarrera-black wheels with the paint matched yellow stripe on the outer lip would look very nice, I think.

Second, I'm a big fan of paint matched lips, true some cars can pull it off, some can't. I also really like seeing the pinstripe on the outer lip. I have my eyes set on these wheels or something similar

k so i couldnt hold it in (plus i wanted some feedback)...heres my potential new plans for the car......its not exactly a photoshop job...actually did it on paintbrush lol but u get the point...wut u guys think n which one u guys like better...

1: black projector headlights; C/f starless grille; flat black paint up the middle and on the roof; and prob gunna go with some 3pc forged enkreuz 19s flat black finish with colormatched (silver) lip;




2: black projector headlights; C/f starless grille; flat black paint up the middle with red pinstripe border; flatblack roof; flatblack wheels (3 pc forged enkreuz 19s if available) in a time attack style with the red pinstripe...(and keep in mind the calipers are silver)....


*i was possibly thinkn bout paintin the headlight rings red as well but that might be a little over the top...dono...
