Correct Size for HID bulbs??

I was wondering what is the correct size for HID bulbs for her CLK's. I already HIDS, but im upgrading the bulbs and not sure what the size should be. I recall there are different bulb setups for HID bulbs. Anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks,
Rob

hmm... not sure about that...

I knew about the H7 and H3.... but im talking about HID bulbs. I heard they have 2 different types.. where they look different. Wondering which type is the one for our HID setup. Something about how the light shines out of the bulb. Thanks in advance.

for HID, there are a total of 4 different types...

D1R, D1S (not commonly used)

more commonly used are D2R and D2S.

D2R bulbs are used in regular reflective housings
D2S bulbs are used in projector style housings

does this answer your question? the only difference physically is that I believe the D2R has a black strip on the bulb itself.
