Winter vs. Summer Rims/Tires setup

How many people here switch between a set of winter and summer Rims & Tires?

I'm thinking of popping the OEM 17s back on for winter use... Not much rain here in So Cal lately, but, who know

Why? I don't see the benefit or logic behind the switch in a location that doesn't snow. Good summer tires like the SO3 are excellent in the rain so why would you want to switch to something else unless you don't want to dirty your good rims during the winter rains.

yea... thats what I figure... I'm running Dunlops right now, and I trust their performance in wet and dry conditions... I just curious what others thought

sticking with the 19s it is then.... besides, LA is all about image... can't be rolling around in just 17s (no pun intended, besides you guys are the ones with a more comfortable ride)
