WTB: OEM 16" stock wheel
Had a wheel that would only hold 20# air pressure and took it to NT&B to have puncture repaired from the inside (not plugged). BTW, they charge $20 for this type of repair vs. many charge $15 to insert a plug. Here in Boston, plugs don't hold well when installed in cold weather.
Turned out it was a 1/2" wheel crack in the tire beading area. The put some tire bead rubber sealant in the area and remounted and balanced the tire at no charge.
While it seems to be holding full air pressure OK, need to get another wheel.
Nothing found in the classified section.
Car is a 2001 CLK 320 Cab (I believe all the models use the same OEM wheels as stock?).
Anyone know of other options to but an OEM wheel other than the dealer?
