Rim/offset/lowering experts..please help..

Although I'm not lowering my car anytime soon, its still in the plans before summer time. Its been bugging me my new set of rims stick out a bit ( fronts), and finally took it to a very reputable customization shop here in socal to visually look if lowering would be ok.

I was basically told it would most likely rub hard, and even with rolling fenders may still rub. I dont want to roll fenders, and going with a 225 wouldnt help either...the shop specializes in Benz as well as I do trust their opinon. They still said to give it a shot.

Tire size is 225/35/19, rim is 19x8.5 and offset is +33.

Any opinions/options..thanks

Are you sure the offset on those rims are +33? I heard that people can even go with +32 with no problem and it doesn't even stick out as much as yours does. You might want to double check that.

It looks like it should be ok as long as you don't go too low with it. The offset on my wheels is 38 I believe and I think there's 5mm to spare in the front.

I dont plan on going to low at all. I'd love to, but just want to kill the crazy fender gap right now thats totally bugging..

I'm going with Eibach Springs, Bilstein Shocks, and dont know on spring pads yet..

if your rims are sticking out that much, i doubt they are et=33. since 8.5 is perfectly fine....i would double check the offset on those rims again, might need to buy new ones and dump these. where they new or did they come off another car, and if so, which car was that?

i agree, your offset looks like it's closer to 28 or even 25. i spaced mine out and they didn't go that far. you don't have any spacers on there do you?

Lowering the car only drops it a little over an inch, unless you change out pads too. you've got some room to go before you rub, but not sure how much

Well here is the latest...took the wheel off myself and I'm sure offset is +33 & 19x8.5....the shop that saw the car in person is sticking to their guns and say "maybe" had two people look at it there...

The manufacturer of the wheels say +33 is fine fitment for w208 and the shop where I bought the wheels says it looks ok...hmm..here are some better pics in daylight...I've lowered tons of cars in my life and one of the first where I feel iffy...

Is there enough thickness on the hub face of the wheel that you could have it machined down 5mm? I have a friend that works at a tire place and they have had to do that before.

It'll be fine, just roll the fenders.
