Can anyone help me please? just recently I've noticed the car isn't getting out of first gear. I have to stop the car, turn off the engine then restart and it's fine. does anyone know why this is happening?

Have a transmission service done. They should reset the tranny as well.

I had that happened to me a few months ago. I took it to the dealership and they said it was some type of transmission electronic chip that needed to be swapped out. It cost me $1600 hundred to fix it. What a ripoff!!

yea you did sir lol, well it seems like the control module has to be cleaned or even the shift module sometimes get some good maf sensor cleaner works good too, or you could just get the tranny flushed as well hope it helps so you dont end up like me needing a new one

Check your car battery. I had similar issues and my local car guy had me swap out my battery and the problems went away.
