Thanks for the reply.

Funny thing is

1. 3 out of 4 wheels are bent, i was quoted 150$ per wheel to fix.

2/3. The bolts and tire were included in the 2000$, but he somehow "forgot" to send them. its been over a month later, i still dont have them

so from him telling me 2000$ for 4 true round wheels, with bolts, has turned out to be 2000$ for 3 bent wheels, 1 missing tire, no bolts, and month+ of my wasted time, its going to cost me over 3000 , when my budjet was 2000

Ive emailed him asking to meet halfway with me, and send the bolts, and 350$ paypal for this mess to be over

thanks

3. And send you an extra tire which should be worth about $100-$200 if it was
new or used.
4 And I assume he was going to ship all that at his cost on top of eating the extra unexpected charges.

So total, you will only be out $100 if you went to that repair shop, and David is out his extra shipping charges. Slap on the extra tires and the bolts, and you are up and running for a total of $2400, more than what was expected by $100, but probably the best case scenario given the situation.

Sounds fair to me, I know it may have seem like he wasnt responding, but he had a family emergency, and from a buyers perspective I know it can be a bit frustrating and make things seem suspect, but the alternative is **** off David, so he doesnt do anything for you and end up spending an extra $400 for rim repair, $230 for an extra tire, and $100 for bolts, bringing your total to $3030.

Not sure what David is willing to do now that all this laundry has been aired out.

First off...it's budget. Second....is this the first car you've ever modified? Don't know about anyone else, but things always seem to have gone over "budget" when modding....atleast for me Finally, you drive a benz around and can't "write off" bolts?

Hey Mark, i hope you get this resolved...I know it can be frustrating, so good luck. I say dont fix the rim, just put them on since it looks like the bend is cosmetic on the lip and most 19" rims have this, thanks to crappy roads....try contacting david to get the extra tire and bolts at the very least and put them on your car. Atleast your situation was better than mine, back a few years ago, "Frappe" took my $400 and i never saw anything for it after everyone else got there stuff. So i know how it feels...

Hey x15jq, chill with the CAPS...

Preowned or not, if an item is not fully described and any key information nto disclosed prior to a sale being made, then the seller didn't hold up to his end of the bargain.

I don't know either of these guys but have been burned by sellers enough to make sure I ask a lot of questions, and buy insurance depending on the cost.

Let's let humplok and gateway sort this out...they don't need any help from friends or experts on the forum.

time to chime in....humplok, did you never file a claim with the shipping company??? Apparently there is photographic evidence of good wheels before shipping and bad wheels afterwards. And i would think at $525, there would be some sort of insurance. If the shipping company even could have been at fault, why attack gateway for the $$? He seems like a reasonable character.

reasonable character?

Its been over 2 months and I still dont have what I paid him for, his last email was over 2 weeks ago saying it was shipped, my ***

also, the shipment wasnt insured for the amount I paid

So, the only reason i bought these rims because he said there ready to go, tires are ok, and it comes with bolts, i send 2000$ (2300$ after fees and exchange rate, aswell as another 150 duty when it came to my house)

and now 2 months later the wheels are sitting in my small condo collecting dust while he swims in his pool in his backyard in cali,

Mr. Polio i hope your happy ripping off a kids hard earned money.. dickwad

its obvious he aint gonna pay you.. throw a water balloon full of paint thinner at his car..

if you know where he lives

jump in a truck put the wheels in the back bring them to him.. and tell him to give you your money back..

i hate rip off artists and it from whats going on this gateway guy seems like the typical one.. i'm so glad i never dealt with him..

right but the bends are hid because they are more out ward in stead of pushed in and if you look really close you can see the tire rash but did not show the tread life. If you think this happened during shipping then you are
