Prevent Cat from Jumping on car

Just spent 2 hours detailing my car. As soon as I went inside to grab a beer. The damn cat jumped on the car. It seems like every time I get home from work. The SOB jumps on the car. Any advice on how to stop this? Don't say shoot the cat or get rid of it. My wife would shoot me.

the cat is pretty smart, as he is just trying to keep warm. What better spot then a warm hood =)

you probably won't be able to stop him from jumping on the car, but you can definitely invest $150 and buy yourself a mercedes car cover, so when he does jump on your car, he won't spoil your 2-hour detail =)

Here is what you need to re-train your feline friend: http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...ductId=2752972. You can get this at PetSmart for it looks like $75.

Check out this product video, pretty entertaining and it even has a Mercedes in it! http://resources.petsmart.com/produc.../2752972.shtml

Good luck.

Our cat used to stand on it's back legs and tip our birdcage over, so I rigged up a 9 volt battery shocker for a couple of bucks and put a large sheet of aluminum foil on the floor at the base of the cage. I connected one wire of the shocker to the cage and the other wire to the foil. The cat could walk on the foil with no problem, but when it stood up to knock over the cage, it completed the circuit and got a hellava shock. It's harmless to the cat. BTW, the cat never entered that room again- ever!

I'm sure you could adapt this idea to 2 sheets of foil on a beach towel on the car. Just watch out for the claw marks when the cat jumps straight up.

Good luck.
