Bosch Spark Plug Help

Im going to be replacing the spark plugs in my CLK430. The original wires are fine,a dn Im not planning on replacing them. My question is, I have noticed two seperate Bosch part numbers on different websites for the same OEM plug. Im not sure which one to buy. If someone has purchased the standard OEM Bosch (NOT +2 or +4) could you tell me what part number you used. The last thing I want to do is install plugs and get misfires or CEL....

F8DPP332 or FR8DPP332 ???

I dont know which Bosch one is correct BUT, alot of us here are using the NGK Iridium IX plus without any errors, they are really good plugs.

I got mine at my dealer. The Bosch part number was FR8DPP33. The Mercedes part number was 004159190326.

This is the link that my friend and I used to order our plugs. The price must have gone up recently because I remember paying a little over 5 bucks a piece when we got them.

So, do I understand correctly that if Im only replacing the spark plugs (not wires), then I need to use a resistor plug, and not the non-resistor plug. Ive heard some stories of people being sent the wrong spark plugs (non-resistor) for these cars....

I re-gap'd my plugs and the dealer sells resistor plugs for the 2001/2002 model year.

Stay with stock mercedes sparks, changed mine on the E series a couple weeks and the mechanic said the platinums are bull****. Especially for german cars

Sorry for all the questions.... then are they non-resistor or resistor for 2000 V8's?

Does anyone know if the Bosch Platin FR8DPP33 plugs come pre-gapped? I just got mine and want to make sure.

Normally plugs come pre-gapped now but to be safe you could just take them into Autozone or whatever and have them look up the specs and gap them for you.

I use the Bosch Ir +4 plugs (instead of Platinum +4). They are better than the Platinum +4 plugs I used before, and I have had no negative issues.

Greg

I have a gapper, if anyone would know the gap spec off hand it would be great.
