Spacers or No Spacers - that is the question....
I ordered my H&R Springs and my wheels for my new CLK430. I've noticed some people use spacers and some don't. I'm curious if you would recommend me purchasing spacers or not for the rear. Below are the wheel and tire sizes for the front & rear:
19" x 8.5" Offset 35 (Front) & 19" x 9.5" Offset 35 (Rear)
235/35/19 (Front) & 265/30/19 (Rear)
I like the flush look, my plans are to put on #1 pads with the H&R's - any recommendations? Should you feel I need a set of spacers, would you mind posting a link on where to purchase them?
Thanks for all of your help!
Sincerely,
Lance

You may want spacers to kick the back out. I would put your wheels and springs on then decide what size spacer you want. Are you upgrading your shocks also and are you planning to run #1 pads all the way around? Besure to post pics thinking of running the 265 in the back want to know what it looks like with the H&R's.

Mercedes prohibits the use of spacers because the wheels are "hub centric" and spacing the wheel out from the hub will interfere with the fit of the wheel.
Some people swear their spacers are somehow different, and no ill effect will be noticed. I guess ESP not working as designed, abnormal alignment, and undesired tire wear are not ill effects.
