Angry 6 months still cant find the problem!!! help please

Hi couple weeks after I baught my 320 the engine started shaking , so I changed :

-Maf
-Mounts
-Spark Plugs
-Fuel Filter
-Cleaned the injectors
-Cleaned throttle

But after all that money it still shaked all the time when Im at a red light and I can feel a big loss in performance.

What I noticed is when I put the injector cleaner in the tank the shaking gets less intense.
So I went to my mechanic and did the real injection cleaning and it worked no more shaking but instead of the shaking I had I hugeeee lag when I pressed the throttle , as soon as the lag whent away (after couple miles) the shaking started AGAIN!!!

When I changed the sparkplugs we noticed one of the coils was inflated but I didint change it because a faulty coil would trigger the Check Engine Light.(Right?)

So please help!!!!!

have you tried replacing the O2 sensors? this is a common problem w/ our W208's.

opal...my car also shakes a little bit when at idle and also shakes a little bit when takiing off from a red light. At idle it shakes more though. DO you think a dirty air filter can cause this too?

Not trying to be a wise guy or anything, but maybe the check engine light might be bad and therefore it is not triggering with any of the 2 possible causes listed above.

I would say that if you have access to a spare coil pack, replace the one that looked suspicious when you replaced the spark plugs and see if that helps. Then move on to the O2 sensors.

Why don't you hook it up to an OBD II code reader and see if any codes show up? If you suspect your check engine light is bad most OBD II code readers have a function to allow you to check the operation of the check engine light as well in addition to checking for codes. Also, Pep Boys / Autozone or whatever auto parts stores you have in your area will likely read your codes for free - that way no more guessing.......... but if you've already checked codes and none are present then especially given all that you've already changed / replaced. If you have high mileage, maybe you have a failing spark plug wire.

The o2 sensor suggestion is a good one.

Do you buy gas at the same place all the time? If so, try a switch.
