Rim width question

Do you guys think using an 18x7.5 rim on a CLK would look OK or will it look too skinny? Would 225/40/18 size tires fit on this rim?

Thanks in advance.

.....those are smaller than the stock rims. So it won't look any more skinny than stock. My thinking is that 16 and 17 inch rims are too small for W208 CLK. You can go as wide as 8.5 in front and 9.5 in the rear. 225's fill fit 17x7.5 rims just fine.

225 is not a problem at all, I'm running 255's on my stock 17" AMG wheel.

But I think 18x7.5 will look kind of skinny, the back tires anyway...

Tire rack is having a close out on the Carlsson's, you might want to check it out if you like them, the price is so cheap!!! I think it was $1500 for 18" 2/5's and only $1600 for 19" 2/5's

Can't beat that!!!!
