resistors

How do u install the resistors on city lights i just put in leds but it says the bulb is out and i bought 100ohm resistors but do not know how to put htem on.

attach them to both wires, one should be black and the other color i dont know.

i was looking and the wires and was confused on how to do it. Do you have to pull the wires out of the housing?
