so i finally gave in and got the juice replaced.
i went to the dealership as advised by a source on this board.
i was running on the original juice for 180k miles.

it has been a week and there is no problems.
the car runs exactly the same, smooth as silk.

funny how 2 years ago when i went to the dealer and asked about changing the fluid they gave me the lifetime fluid run down, but now they flipped like a pancake and tell me that i must replace it every 40k miles.

with the coupon they gave me i only spent a total of 240 bucks and i got a free efficiency test and the new c class as a loaner.
btw...i still think the c class sucks compared to a 208. i really liked the bluetooth set up in the new car though.

Efficiency test? My dealer didn't give me an efficiency test. A loaner, a car wash, a trans service and an efficiency test for $240. You made out! No transmission fluid bath, no cleaning up a gallon of fluid from the garage floor, and you don't have to hear your wife say "the garage smells funny" for the next three months.

I got a C300 the other week when MB of Valencia did my windshield. It's slow, the fuel economy isn't very good, and the dash looks like it's made from recycled plastic. On the upside, the C300 price was right (free!).
