the modding bug hit again

well guess what ? i got a sweet deal on the brabus B10 kit, the kit is not complete its missing the titanium valve springs and the "official brabus remap", got the camshafts installed yesterday night and my mechanic worked is his way in the "star system" to modify timing / fueling because we put the same plugs that brabus puts on which are 1 degree colder than stock, i also gutted out the 4 catalyzers and made a little metal shield for the O2 sensor inside so i don't get a CEL on my dash... well performance wise it great, i am hitting redline really fast, there is substantial increase in power but i dont have access to a dyno... i try my best to get it on one... but my test was based on speed in a specific distance, i used to hit 190-195 Km/h from stand still to 1000 m now i am hitting 205-210 Km/h ... and it was hard to break loose the 265/35R18 now its much easier ...

i know this thread is worthless without a dyno and pics (because my mechanic forgot to charge the batteries on his digi cam!!!) but i am very happy with the result and wanted to share with u guys...

now i scavenging the junk yards for a 2000+ 320 tranny control unit so i could complete my 3.07 differential

i have a street race with an e36 m3 evo something that has 321 hp stock and a 6 speed manual will keep u posted on my results ... wish me luck!!!

my mechanic's butt dyno says i am over 300hp for sure hope he is right

sorry for the long post guys...

well my mechanic frequently visits Germany, because his brother is a surgeon living over there, he gets all sorts of used tuning parts, he installed a 3.8s brabus engine the other day on a w203 c320 ... it was a beast!!

so the b10 claims a 20hp gain. you essentially have the camshafts and a new ecu tune with a higher flow exhaust, right? any air intake setup? Other performance mods?

well i have the amg air box, and "performance" plugs... well next on the list is the 3.07 differential for a better 0-60 (street light racing), and a the light weight pulley... i am also researching if i replace the engine bottom end with an 500 m113, i have seen this always being done on VW's and BMW's and on the m117 Mercedes v8's (560 bottom on 500 upper)
