Climate Control Blower Problems
Guys,
I own a 2001 CLK with 50k miles. Absolutely love the vehicle. Good combination of performance and reliability. Until recently... When the climate control unit calls for the blower to operate it only does so intermittently. It will run for 1-2 minutes then cut out then turn on again a few minutes later. However, during the entire time the climate control unit is calling for the blower to run. I know the problem isn't with the blower itself (it runs fine) but I can't seem to track down the issue and none of the previous threads have helped. Any suggestions? Relays, bad in-dash climate control unit, air circulation dampers and/or damper switches?? Any help would be greatly appreciated !!

Check the blower motor (aka fan speed) regulator. Those are a fairly a common problem on the W210, and the W208 uses some of the same parts.
