Changing Air and Climate Contriol Filters

Changing Air and Climate Control Filters
Can anyone provide me with guidance on where the air filter and climate control filters are located? I figure I have to pop the engine cover but have no idea how it comes off.
No clue on the A/C filter location.
Unlike BMW and Infiniti, MB always seems to keep even the simplest maint. items difficult to do.
Appreciate the help.

Let us know if it is as straightforward as the pictures.
Engine air filter, pretty straightforward, open the hood, and the big square(ish) box on the front left with six (or so) clips which you unhook and lift up the cover.
