Personally I think it's sick.

I think Mercedes did a good job right out of the box. I've had the car 2 years and love it just as much as when I bought it. I've seen the mods, the kits, etc. They're fine..... I just think Mercedes hit the nail right off the drawing board.

The only thing I have wanted is Falls Prophets wheels. Been eyeing those style on the net for the full 2 years.

Other than that, she's good enough for me.

Woo that interior looks slippery!

Your definatly right about the styling its a body that will stand the test of time. Like my 190e ppl ask me what year, i have them guess. They always say late 90's. Its freakin the 80's!
Same goes with my CLK espically if you have the AMG kit fools most ppl its brand new.
Yet my C280 that red one back there looks old.

It's dry as a bone. I use Meguiars leather care 3 stage (3 bottles). Gives it a satin look.

i agree. although i added 18" wheels, flat emblem, and lowered the car with #1 spring pads, I've added nothing aftermarket to mine.

Jury...
gotta say that your W208 looks awesome !
really didn't pay much attention to the early CLKs once the W209 came out, mostly because of the CLK-DTM hype and my wish that MB would of produced a CLK32. But when that didn't happen... I didn't even bother looking at CLKs anymore. The W208 is one of those hidden treasures, that in many years from now, will be regarded as a true design beauty.
I wish you many happy miles and hopefully keeping it looking as good as it does now !

Carlos

A few mods will improve the model a lot, such as lowering, wheels and lamps. The CLK lines are classical but the full OEM style is only boring.

your car looks just like mine (stock silver)

I also used to think the same (MBZ hit it off perfect body lines) ......untill I saw Opals W208 custom widebody

I feel the exact same way!! They got it right with the W208...I am biased though since I do drive one.

Hell, I even got a HUGE compliment from a Lexus owner today!! He asked if I was interested in selling my car, I quickly said no. But now that I have had time to think about it I should have sold it and upgraded to the W208 55 that I have always wanted!!

Get some man! Then we can be twins! (Lorinser RS1 18x8 front, 18x9 rear)

I hear you loud and clear when you bring up this notion man. Mercedes hit it right on the mark with this design and it is indeed timeless. I remember when I saw one for the first time and INSTANT attraction. It's like one of those really hot women you see somewhere, make ey e contact, and even though you may never even talk to her, you always keep that women in your mind to compare or fantazise about all the things that might associate you with her forever. Some physical things just have that effect and I think most of you share the same feelings on this board.

Your ride looks very clean sir and well "dressed."

The one thing I REALLY want is the newer (2k+) steering wheel. No one has ever answered me anywhere I have asked if it is a direct swap or what is involved. I'm unconcerned with the audio controls.

Yes, they're great cars! Good steering wheel and upgraded wheels (maybe suspension also) and the car is hard to beat by anything reasonably priced. Great pictures!!!
