Post Rim Question

Will these rims fit on a 1999 CLK320 without any modifications or problems?

Also, what size tires would you guys recommend to go with for these rims.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=290266256834

Thanks in advance,

Matt

If Im not mistaken those are the rims off da E63, if so Ive seen them fitted on a 208 but they did stick out a little.

Oh forgot bout the tires! If you go with the staggered setup, I would go around 225-245/45 for the front and 255-275/40 for the rears. Check my sig for my tire setup, I love the look and ride, not too harsh and no rub, but no DROP.

they should fit fine...theyre only 8.5 in front; 9.5 in rear so you should be good...try to get the offsets to make sure

Yup. +1 on what the guys said above. They'll fit fine for sure. It's been done on another CLK. I'm just not sure whether it was this forum or the other one.

Here's an idea of what it'll look like on a CLK...
(i know it's not the same exact wheel, but it should give you an idea)

the offsets were listed on the ebay ad as 42 front, 44 rear.......

will run into problems. those offsets are too high. he should be in the 32-35 range.

Since that is out of the question should I go with these rims instead:

My current situation is my 17" AMG Rims are all bent and it shakes and I can't get the wheels balanced I currently live in NJ and the roads are terrible. I am moving to Houston in a few weeks and am looking for new wheel/tire setup down there.

I appreciate all the help!

So after blowing two more tires this past week on these terrible NJ roads I really need to buy some wheels and tires.

I think I am leaning toward these rims:

http://www.powerwheelspro.com/shop/p...products_id=47

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=220295209739

My questions are with the offset of 35 will these go right on just like the stock rims do? Also, will the stock tires front 225/45-17 rear 245/40-17 stay the same?

I appreciate the help!

If you get 17x7.5 in the front, you should use... 215/45/17
if you get 17x8 in the rear, you should use... 225/45/17

using the tire sizes you listed above will make the tires wider than the rims. it won't look as nice.

i wouldn't get 17's if i were you. At least 18" to look improved over stock. 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 should give u no problems. Newer models come with tires that thin from the factory.

I ended up going with the a set of rims that have an offset of 35. I shouldn't have a problem with them will I? I'm just hoping they go on without any problems.
