just towed it in Beshoff Motor Cars this morning , they are checking it out to see what's wrong with the car. when I towed it in, couple service advisors was like . the good thing is she still under wanrranty until Jun/09, the suck thing is they don't cover shock. ( i heard something like dry shock squizz in the front ). AND THEY RAN OUT OF RENTAL CARS, won't let me get one bc i just dropped in without appt. Let's see what happen next, I will keep you guys posted.
Oh, and my new Headlights just arrived today, and I dont have the car with me so I can't put it on rightaway, DAMN IT !!!!
hope it will be done tomorrow, i have to take the S550 today, not bad for this weather

CLK but loves my Fords
I had a smiliar exp in my C43 AMG, going downhill in the rain and suddenly my brake pedal feels like a brick! It was strictly a brake problem with me. Good luck with you situation, thank god for your warranty.

When the booster fails the pedal becomes very hard and it applies very little pressure to the calipers, but it doesn't make noise. Just pull the booster’s vacuum line and you’ll see what I mean. Kenneth, the friction material may have separated from the backing plate. I’ve never seen that happen with OEM or high end pads. The ABS pump could have gone Chernobyl, but it should have triggered a light. Whatever it is, please post what the dealer finds.

Lastly, the CPO doesn't cover "shock absorbers", but a bad shock won’t cause the brakes to fail.

i just got off the phone with my service advisor, he said my car got 3 major problems, 1 caused the other. so they order a whole long yard of parts, which can't arrive in 1 day ( they all next-day delivery) , so my car stuck there until Tuesday. I will post what they fixing on my car later on when I get a hand on the RO. Lucky my car in still under warranty.
I JUST GOT MY Projector headlight, but dont have the car, damn it

damn,. when brakes fail,.. thats pretty bad.. all you do is hoping no one is in front of you... i think i'd experienced the same thing before.. it felt like the brake pads were gone and it was such a loud noise coming from the front and it wasn't able to stop.. i somehow took it to a local mechanic and they fixed it.. this was years ago.. and i wish i could remember but i m sorry, i was just glad the problem was corrected and able to drive again...
man.. that sucks.. i feel you on that! let us know when your ride is out!

ok, i got the car back ( yeah ) . Believe me, on the first 10 miles, my foot still feel nervous on the brake, afraid the car gonna be a loose horse again.
Cause:
Loose brake hub on Front driver side -> A WHOLE BRAKE system spin around and F*ck every parts around it.
so they ordered :
Brake Lines, rotor, hub, pads, caliper, splash shield, fluids, shock, nuts,.... almost a whole side.
total parts at whole sale price: 1125.88, labor 160/hr x 4 .

can't help but wonder if they over-exaggerated the brake problem to get some extra warranty $$ from MB!!

Glad it's all taken care of and was at little expense to you!

bearing failure?? sounds more like the caliper mount somehow failed so when you applied the brakes your caliper became an instant wrecking ball that tore the brake line. no fluid=no brake!!! Sounds like your bearings were the only thing keeping that shoe on and keeping you shiny side up!
