why do you need to change everything? Do you HAVE to change everything? change wires and plugs, do not get ngk plugs, get bosch (cheap at autozone, exact benz plugs but cheaper price), also dont get k&n get regular mercedes filters.

Agreed. You have to draw the line somewhere between replacing everything and replacing nothing otherwise you'll be doing a full restore of a 2003 Mercedes. $91 for a fuel filter is steep and why all the pulleys ?

No, it doesn't. It sounds like someone wants you to buy their entire catalog worth of parts. Valve cover gaskets?

A tune up means a lot of things to lot of people. What do you mean tune up? An A service? B service? 2 year service? 3 year service? 4 year/40K service? 4 year/50K service? 5 year/100K mile service? Some combination?

If the plugs are 5 years old or have 100K miles on them, change them. If you ruin the wires because you didn't use a plug boot puller, change the wires too. These are some MB USA recommendations - If the brake fluid is 2 years old, change it. If the coolant is 3 years old, change it. If the engine air filters are 4 years or 60K miles old, change them. If the fuel filter is 4 years or 60K miles old, change it. Every 4 years or 50K miles, check your flex discs and re-torque your steering gear bolts. The FSS will tell you when to change to oil and filter.

In addition, these are my recommendations - ONLY use a fleece oil filter. Change the drive belt every 5 years or 100K miles. Change the coolant every two years rather than three. Change the battery every four years.

What is it that you're trying to do?

When I bought the car, the seller said that he didn’t know if Service "B" was completed. The car read that the next service was Service "A". So, he either changed the button to set it back or he didn’t get the service done. At the time of purchasing the car I had no idea what Service "A" and "B" were so I didn’t ask any more questions. I just assumed it was a maintenance service that I would have to do later on. He gave me all records of the car but there was no record indicating a Service “B” was done. I’m having a lot of vibration issues with the car when it's stop while running. If I put in neutral the vibration almost disappears. Not knowing much about these cars (being a Lexus owner all my life) I didn’t know where to begin besides taking the car to a MB dealership so they can knock my head off.
So, I came to a conclusion that maybe if I just did a tune up that would justify some things. I did a lot of searches on the forum and tried to come up with some ideas from everyone on a tune up. Then I contacted a few websites like the one above and received their recommendation. My main goal is just to get the car running good. It’s paid off and the car has grown on me tremendously. I plan on keeping the car as a weekend car for quite some time. Any advice would help. Thanks.

Here is some background information.

September 06, 1999- Replaced 02 sensor.

June 02, 2002- Service “B” was completed.

June 19, 2007- Replaced crank sensor
Replaced air mass meter

February 6, 2008- Replaced 02 sensor

April 21, 2008- Installed new brakes, pads, sensors, etc.
Alignment

There were many other things I replaced but I don think it would matter because it’s not mechanical. All work above was completed by a MB dealership.

If the previous owner did not get service B done then the car would say so, if he did then the car will say "service C in xxxx miles" For the vibration check motor mounts and MAF sensor. I dont know a lot but marcus is here to the rescue

If it were me, I do the trans fluid, plugs, brake fluid, coolant, engine air filter, fuel filter, and cabin filter. That's not what causing the car to shake, but you’ll know all the maintenance has been done. I think Zeek is right - Mounts or MAF.

first thing i think you should do is definitely drain the atf and replace the atf filter.

then consider replacing the motor mounts after the trans service.

Is replacing engine air filter included in the B service? From the MB service menu, B has dust filter replacement. In additional service, it said ventilation filter need to be replaced every 2 years.

Update: It was the "motor mounts" causing the vibration. MB Dealership recommendations:

Motor Mounts (DID AT MB DEALERSHIP)
Valve Cover gaskets (WILL DO SOMEWHERE ELSE)
Intake hoses (WILL DO SOMEWHERE ELSE)
Trans flushed (WILL DO SOMEWHERE ELSE)
Fuel filter (DO MYSELF)
Air filter (DO MYSELF)
Spark plugs and wires (DO MYSELF)
