clk 320 wont start

98 clk 430 & 2000 clk 320
clk 320 wont start
everthing was jus fine before i left town came back a few later the car will not start at all. all the lights work fine the radio everything it just wont start. it wont even try to crank over it just makes a clicking noise or whatever i have no idea what it is ive been researching the problem online so i dont know if its the cps, mfa, alternator, or its just the starter if anyone has anything that could help me please let me know ASAP before i go and get taking advantage of by some mechanic

Marcus is right - and the 208 seems to have an unusually low threshold for cutting the starter out of the loop. Took me an embarrasing hour rolling mine through a parking deck to the waiting flatbed to find this out. Alldata says that the minimum is 12.3 at the battery - but I;m guessing wear on the compnents in that chain can bring it up as high as 13. This car will let you run the fans, cranked up stereo, brights, fogs, horn- all simultaneouslky, and still not have enough juice to get any response from the starter.

its the original battery in the car im about to take it out right now to get it checked it would make my day if dats all it is because if was anything else wouldn't i get sum kinda sign it was going bad and i jus replaced the battery in the 430
