Exhaust problem

Hello all,
I am having an exhaust rattle from 1800 - 2500 rpms only when accelerating. I was going to get it fixed but found out there are 4 cats, this sounds like a common problem for the W208. I have 110,000 miles so warranty is out of the question. Any place to get the replacement cats, after market parts included. I was also considering getting straight pipe bent after the header to the muffler and was wondering if anyone has done this. If so how do you get around the o2 sensors.

i know replacing with OEM cats is going to be very expensive. if you're open to the idea of straight pipes and etc, you could put in magnaflow cats, which would give a nice growl.

if you take out all 4 cats, you're going to have the o2 sensors mounted somewhere in your straight pipe and then have it fooled via ecu tuning i believe. one of the members did it on their 55. i would just replace the front two cats and then run straight pipes from there.

Before you go and start replacing your Cats please check the welds on the heat shields that are located right after the primary cats. These spot welds were broken loose somehow and were creating that noise around that RPM as well. I took it into an exhaust shop and they retacked for 10 bucks!!
