Help: Dash display disorted

The 2 little display boxes which shows the outside temperature and the other that shows the time is kind of disorted. Mercedes told me i have to replace the whole dash but i think it's just a loose wiring because sometimes it will work. Can anyone help me with this? Is the dash very difficult to remove?

This is a VERY common occurence on our W208's. It happened to me a couple years ago as well. There is a how to posted by PANCHO I believe??? In either case the cluster is extremely easy to remove. But, you must have a little know patience actually taking it apart to fix the ribbon cable that causes the issue. Sometimes all that is required is to reseat the ribbon cable. I will try and find that HOW-TO later when I get home from work.

Would love to know how to fix this! I know I can just roll down the window and stick my hand out to see how warm/cold it is, but staring at that mess of lines is about to make me drive into a friggin guardrail!!!
