There's a variety of brands to choose from, and sometimes a custom one is a good choice to go for.
I personally, removed cats then bought and AMG mid-box from a wrecked clk430 (i dunno if its called resonator or silencer but anyways its an empty rectangular box signed by AMG
), to finish the work i bought a supersprint Muffler w/ Oval Tip (Part number 022 842 505).
I really like the setup, better sound, not too high but just enough. The supersprint looks good too. I wish i could find headers though
