They are made for Halogen but you can just convert them to HID for 85 bucks. I just converted mine as well. I believe you can save your old ballasts but it will probably be harder to try and convert the wires and all.

I suggest buying the projectors and HID kit with H7 base HID bulbs and selling your old Xenon headlight with ballasts and all on Ebay.

I ended up getting 5000K because it seemed to be the whitest light, and didn't care much for the blue ones. I just wanted the brightest white light on the road. I believe that stock Xenons were 4300-5000K but you might want to look that up since I am not completely sure.

I did a small write-up on this kit a couple days ago...
https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...gsds-hids.html

Once you get the projectors you'll need the H7 HID Kit. He will ask you about the Error Cancellors but our cars don't need them. I haven't used the error cancellors for a couple days now and I still don't have a "Light out" Error on the dash. The 85 bucks includes the lights 5000K, wiring and the ballasts. The light are a little bit tricky to install due to the smaller based bulb but it has a plastic adapter and I can walk you through it.

As far as the projectors go..there are some new ones that have Halo lights on them and do not have the cheese grater look like mine do and are WAY cheaper now than before.

Hope this helps and good luck with the project!!

Greg

just get a kit! and get the black projectors...they look super sick on black cars! I get the most compliments on the headlights! they reflect so much that it doesn't wash out the car in all black at all.

is it possible to keep my stock xenon kit tho? im really not interested in getin a hid kit since i already have one, unless there is no other way around it. u think using those conversion plates for 10 bucks and getting some d2s bulbs will work? cause i have d2r's now but those are for reflective lights, and d2s are for projectors rite?

PM'd. either just buy the little metal conversion plates (not wire connectors) and spend lots of time making the stock system fit, or just spend $80 and get a kit.
