This is an outstanding price. I can't imagine anyone's found them cheaper unless they were just on closeout or something.

Has anyone had both Koni and Bilsteins? Konis are a lot more. was it worth the extra money? I have some knock off brand shocks right now with stock springs im sure i will feel a huge difference once i install my bilsteins and h&r springs...

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
If your

model is not lowered bilstein sports have the same valving just shorter travel.
Want to firm up the suspension?Bilstein HD's are oe travel will work with eibach lowering springs or oe springs and are $97 each delivered price.
Just an idea

Good deal! Driving is gonna be much more fun hope road conditions where you live are good, cause this is a stiff setup.

i just installed brand new bilstein hd's with the stock e55 springs.....it rides like shi*... the car wanders at higher speeds and exhibits lots of load when accelerating and braking. it also handles poorly when going through sweeping curves..i think im going to go with h&r springs..will that work considering i dont have the bilstein sports??...i dont want to have to buy new bilstein sports just to intstall the h&r springs....so my quesion is, will the hd's be compatiable with the h&r's? or will i have some ride quality issues?....thanx for the input

I believe w/ H&R's, the proper springs will be the sport, not HD. However, I'm running lowered springs w/ HD's and it's mediocre. I'll upgrade to sports eventually for the right match.

Sports are the proper match for shorter springs. Ran around on this topic a bit as far as valving they are exactly the same Sports are just a shorter shaft. Found some test long while back that shows compression and rebound are exactly the same and reinforcing claim from some peeps that revalve Bilsteins saying the same. Putting HD on shorter springs may cause premature as this was not its intended use.
Im going with Koni's this time around due that the compression is much more progressive over Bilstein, so i will get an initial softness but harder at a faster rate over Bilstein and adjusting my rebound is a plus. Bilsteins compression is linear, more predictable same rate throughout its stroke. There was a diagram somewhere on the internet. Gotta dig this up, but this is my reason, I've always bought Bilsteins before wanna try something different cause i do find it a bit harsh hitting little bumps.
