Here is a description of a 2002 CLK 430 I am considering purchasing. Does the 2002 CLK 430 come with AMG? What does AMG mean? The car does not have any AMG badges on it???????????

No it doesnt come with a AMG badge because it doesnt have an AMG engine. Nothing to worry about. AMG is like an upgrade, consists of a more powerful engine some different exterior and interior details. People that know mercedes know what type of cars have AMG badges and they call it being a poser if you were to put one one a non AMG mercedes vehicle.
Good luck with your purchase tho you will be very happy with a CLK430.

 

What kind of horse power does this have, also torque, where do I find other info?

 

The 430s came with AMG styled front and rear bumpers, sideskirts and AMG wheels. Enthusiastic sellers love to put AMG in their ads to get more attention. There are no AMG performance parts on the 430s. So the car did not and should not have an AMG badge on the trunk.

Hp was 275 and don't know the torque.

 

torgue is 295 if I recall.... more than enough to keep you happy I love my 430.

that red clk looks really good...42k only and under warranty still..wow if the interior was blk it would be nicer but not every only like black interior ......get it!!!!!

Ironic. The previous owner of my 00 430 came put an AMG badge on but I wished it wasn't! lol It didn't kill my sale...it wasn't that important to me.

Tell you what, I'll sell you my AMG 'badge'. LOL

 

Yeh..... One of the reasons the CLK55 got knocked in comparison to the M3 is b/c the 430 and 55 share the AMG body whereas the M3 is all alone and doesnt share any panels with its 3-series counterparts.
