I've been looking for a fairly specific CLK Cabrio for a while without much luck (white '02/'03 430 with stone or grey interior, black roof, CD changer). They seem to be made of unobtanium. I've been searching the usual places on the net (mbusa, cars, edmunds, etc.), but not much worthwhile as turned up. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Ssearch for: clk and check only search titles. There are 5 or 6 clk cabs currently for sale in the Boston area....including one in white.

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, I've been checking CL as well. I have looked at the the white CLK listed recently and it is sooo far down the food chain it was scary. The boot was full of white powder and rap CD cases with burn marks on them, there were many parts for the top mechanism in the storage console, and an old registration showed that the car sold for $16K back in 2006. Not a good situtation.

But I really appreciate the suggestion. Alas, I keep searching and waiting.

I bought mine from a nice lady on Craigslist. She was the owner, so I didn't have to deal with used car dealers and their 'non-value added' markup. Just make sure you get the 30-day carfax subscription, there are lots of shady cars out there. Probably 50% that I researched had really bad history (salvage, 5+ owners, etc..). Totally worth the $30. Also, some people list themselves as 'owners' on Craigslist, when in reality, they are dealers/wholesalers. Just search Craigslist using their phone numbers and sometimes you will get dozens of hits by a 'personal owner' (not cool). Good luck!
