Arrow OK i need YOUR expertise!

Alright, here it goes. I have a 191k on my car. the car runs great, I have just been able to save up enough money to buy my lowering springs (Vogtlands) and shocks (Bilstein sports). I plan on putting rear camber arms on too. But as far as replacing any other parts?? Draglink, Lower ball joints, Wheel bearings, Bushings? I'm pretty positive that all the parts are original. So is there anything i should look for in particular..??? that might wear out after the car is lowered. I figure after that many miles a lot is probly worn out. and after i lower it, it might put added stress on the already fairly worn parts.. My steering wheel has a little play. Could that be the draglink? Basically i just want some help on what you guys would do.. Keep in mind i am 18 years old and a student right now.. so in other words.. a low budget!! thanks for your help!

You really shouldn't have to worry about much. But in the process of doing this modification you should check each and every suspension component out. There isn't a draglink on rack and pinion steering cars, though you should check the balljoints, tierods (inner and outer), strut mounts, strut bearing plates, etc... I would also be checking the axle shafts for signs of wear or damage (ripped boots, noise, etc).

When a car is modified you may always be subject to certain parts being subject to more wear issues. Driveline angles are a factor, and if not lowering a huge amount shouldn't be much of an issue. Really it largely depends on how YOU drive the vehicle.

Yeah, you shouldn't need worry about much else but an alignment after you install the springs and shocks. NICE choice by the way on the springs and shocks. I have the exact same setup and it's a perfect ride I think. No more bouncyness or body roll and you can definitely take corners faster.

You can see one of my threads, about things wearing out, but I drive my car HARD!!! I put on about 20K a year which includes trips to the drag strip and race track.
