Can you please help me with a picture?

Hi, Can some one please post a picture of the (1998) CLK coupe rear seat back release levers for me?
The battery was disconnected and the trunk will not open, even with the crappy laser cut high tec key after 2 days of fighting snapped
I can get my whole arm into the boot via the first aid kit entrance, but i cant feel what i an looking for. The owners manual is as much use as a chocolate tea-pot. What i need is a real world picture of the levers as seen when the boot is open
Is there any chance of some one helping me out today at all...please? Please answer and help me with my question guys. I will check back reguarly. Thyanks

Can you reach the levers at all? IF you feel underneath the rear shelf theres a smooth cable and at the end of that is the levers your talking about. You will need to push the lever away from you to open.

Yes mate i have noticed two black cables and a white one. I have tried pushing and pulling these but no joy. I have often dropped the rear seats but cant for the life of me visualize were they sit in the boot. So a picture is needed....PPLLLEEEAAASSSEEE!!! Will some one justr nip out and take a quick picture for me? Its a coupe and not a convertable.

Hi fs.

Can you add some more detail (eg, location) to your sig via UserCP ^^^

I can't add a photo as I have a W209 but here are some W208 diagrams from my WIS which might help. I'm surprised to read about the release button low down as shown here. On my W209 there are 2 seat release levers accessible only from the trunk.

Is the battery disconnected? Ok, I had this same problem before. All you have to do is open the engine bay of your car and jump start it from a certain location. I don't know exactly where to put the wires but that's what Road Side Assist did with my car when I disconnected the batter and closed the trunk. The trunk popped wide open when they did that. It cost me nothing but I gave the guy a $20 tip. Call Road Side.

First of all i have popped the trunk now. I went to a fellow who has a CLK in the next street and located were they were. I reached through and popped the trunk
And secondly, yes i tried to put power through the engine bay take of point. but this method is useless if the battery is not connected.
Any way the jobs done now and thanks to those who were bothered to respond to my plea
