SL55 wheels and tires??? Fit? Please help

SL55 wheels and tires??? Fit? Please help
I have a chance to pick up some 2003 SL55 wheels and tires for a great deal. The fronts are 255/40/18 and the rears are 285/40/18 I know these are much larger than stock and what someone would normally run but is it even possible to fit these on and drive? And would it look horrible even if I could fit them on? Thanks guys for your input.

i bought rims that had the same size and i had to change the front because 255's dont fit! rear fit okay but was rubbing so i did some custom work and somhow made it fit but front i had to change the tire size. 245's dont fit either, tried those too. I would go with 235 or 225 i have 225 because they are perfect and when you have 225's in the front it'll make the 285's in the back look even better!

ok here are some things you need to know! 235 is what you should run up front no smaller! as for running 285 out back go for it but know that the larger the difference between the front and back the more understeer the car will have! this will also change the ride as the unsprung weight will be higher
