cal me lazy, but can i just reach in between the tire and the wheel well or do i have to remove the tire? i'm also looking for a 1/2 inch drop because i'll be scraping the front spoiler if it's any more. if the stock pad is a #3 theres no point changing the pad, but if its a #5 and i change it to a #1, i can get at least 0.6 inch. how unsafe is it to NOT have a pad?

i better stop doing bicep curls, can't get my big arms in there.
but no seriously i tried looking thru the gap with a light and cant see anything at the front, but could see part of the bottom half of the spring at the back, but still couldnt get my hand in there (a problem with big biceps). next time i'm at the garage i'll just hoist it up and take off the wheels too. in no rush.

marcusF,
i got tired of talking and got down to business. went down to the garage and asked them to take out all the pads, f was #2,r was #3. and now PAD-LESS. its a nice drop just 10mm front and 15 rear, not too deep. now just have to adjust headlights, as i noticed they are pointing a wee bit high.
