I love the way it looks, however, I'm not sure about having a second set of muffler tips that are just rerouted from a single exhaust system. Is their actually a muffler behind those tips or is it just a pipe? Do you know if their are any adverse performance effects.

It is actually a set of tips, routed from the 1st muffler for ease of installation. There shouldn't be any adverse performance effects (I assume you are wondering about loss of back pressure).

I'm getting the full MH-Dezent DTM kit (front/rear bumper side sills), MH-Dezent CL-Style Hood & Grill, and the MH-Dezent Quad Exhuast. I'm keeping my 2 spoilers that I have already.

i have the same question as i did for lee w/ his lorinser kit. 1) isnt the exhaust w/ the extra dual pipes going to add weight=a loss in acceleration and 2) how durable is this dezent kit to scratching, road debris, and structural strength(because it is a completely different hood thats added on)?

thats the flip side to getting kits. i've had experience, as many of my friends have kits on their various cars. they look great, but eventually get cracked/scratches which can be heartbreaking. buy mach, is the dezent exhaust system lighter than my amg unit and whats the actual quated hp gain. i've never been one to even rely on this figure, because it doesnt translate to low rpm hp boost, which is what will increase acceleration.

As for the exhaust, MH-Dezent makes a high quality exhaust, but I won't know the figures until I dyno my car. The true gains of exhaust on a 430 aren't much, and usually pretty close to eachother anyways. Unless your purposes are purely for racing, I would suggest that you get the kit that looks and sounds the best to you. I do expect the MH-Dezent exhaust systems, both dual and quad, to outperform the AMG muffler. Here is a picture of what the MH-Dezent mufflers look like:

As long as you don't bump things with your car, I really don't see why they would crack, break, or scratch (besides cheap paint).

mach...do you have any pics of how the quad exhaust...
is set up? is the split after the muffler? Will the exhaust fit on a AMG rear bumper with some cutting? thx

With some cutting, anything will fit
. But yes, with minor cutting to the lower portion of the AMG bumper, the Quad exhaust will fit. I don't have a picture of how it is set up, but I can describe it for you. My understanding of it is that if you bypass your resonators, you can run 2 pipes from the cats back into the left muffler. From there, the exhaust splits into 4 tips, 2 on each side.

im always concerned about scratching the bottom of the front in cali. always see freakin driveways that are soooo steep and just cant angle enough sometimes to avoid scratching just a little. parking is always a ***** also when your car wont even clear those parking blocks that prevent your car from encroaching on the opposite spot.
