Well the only thing that I could say to be aware of is that many parts in IN still have J.CKKKrow Attitudes. I hope no one asks what that means.

Front and Rear 2008 custom cut/fit w209 bumpers...

What do you guys think of the lines? It took me a week just to get the molds to match and smooth out the bumpers.

It will look nice as long as it's done right. look at some of my posts. I did the clk209 front and the cl63 rear about a year ago and it came out great and up to this day I still have no problems with either one.

No, I got ahead of myself with the badge. I am making engine mods to get as close as possible to the actual AMG. I have priced charging and whatnot versus trying to cram a v12 inside there. I'm slowly trying to get there.

What Gizzo is getting at no amg means no amg badge no matter what performance mods you do.

A little word of advice...Don't try and fight the AMG battle with a Non-AMG car (like mine LOL), especially on this board

They are very touchy about what should and shouldn't be badged an AMG and only the AMG factory was able to make that decision on our behalf.

Hell, you should de-badge like I am going to and have a slicker look anyway! You could have the ultimate SLEEPER!!!!!

You are going to debadge everything including the Mercedes Logo? Trunk/Hood?

I'm wondering how many people has done that to the CLK or MB period?

Would you h8 if someone has just finished doing that mod just this past Friday????

Yeah thats why I tripped out when I saw your PICS!!! I was like DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to keep the hood badge and rear badge. I just wanted to debadge my CLK430 signs. I took them off and realized that when they repainted my car they must have blocked off the area where the letters were because it shows a raised edge on the paint. Sooooo, I would have to get the trunk repainted if I were to DeBadge right now (no money, so no De-Badge).

You had to do a full repaint right? 1k sounds pretty damn good for a complete hood and trunk debadge and repaint!!!

Oh and I was just trying to help HOLLYWOOD430 before he got himself into a losing battle on this forum over the AMG Badge LOL.

Yes 1K for both the repaint of the trunk and hood. What would this mod run back in the US?

My CLK320 had AMG and after seeing the Poser Threads and arguments I do agree hence I immediately took off my AMG Badge. But that is just my honest opinion.

The guy quoted me 2K to redo my whole trunk and repaint my hood since I have some rock chips that went all the way down to the metal. I tried to use that touch up and it looks ok BUT I still see that dip in the paint and it pisses me off when I see it. Especially since it was a full repaint not too long ago when I got keyed.

What's up e'rybody!

I just picked up my 01clk55 over the summer. Been searching the forums like, non-stop! I've learned alot, so thanks...

Done:

Lighting-
8000k xenons (maybe 10k look nicer?)
LED city lights
xenon look high beams (no difference- need better bulbs)
clear side markers with stealth bulbs
clear side mirror/turn signal bulbs (thinking about led though)
3500k fogs (dig the yellow, can't help it)
Headlamp restoration- no more foggy plastic

Engine-
Green Filters
New MAF

Exhaust- Rez delete

Other- tint done already, L-plate frames, new mats

TO DO A$AP:

Drop the car fast! Going with H&R, new bilstein sports, #1's all around- getting this done in October...

High flow 2nd cats- maybe Oct (plan= steal wife's money)

tune-up
bushings
motor/tranny mounts (have 67k on the car)

Wheels- I just can't decide, if AMG=18's, anything else= 19's
Gonna wait till the right set comes along... def want 235/265...

Wish List:
Headers
K40- Calibre

I figure it's all a good start!!
