Purolator Oil Filters any good?

Purolator Oil Filters any good? bout to do an oil change done and thats the only one available at the local car parts store........i can get a mobil 1 for $7 more or fram for liek $3 more but i hafta make a lil trip to a different store for that.....is the purolator okay or should i go with one of the others?

Not sure about the Mobil 1, but those other filters use paper media.

For the FSS (10,000 mile) extended service interval, you need to use the upgraded Fleece Media.

Click on the two pictures in the above link to see what each looks like.

The extended service filter is made by MANN (P/N: HU718/5X).

Be sure to seat the filter fully (e.g. only 1 of the 2 lines drawn on the filter body will be showing) and install the large O ring properly (e.g. in the grove just below the lip of the cap).
