Oh no!
Just cleaning the inside of my car and noticed a crack in the dash board. As many of you may have noticed I just bought my car on Tuesday. It's a used car, however it is still under 4 year 50k warranty. Please... someone tell me this would be covered under the warranty.

Yes, it's a warranty issue, you shouldn't have any problem getting it replaced.
It does look like the crack is around the border for the passenger side airbag. If this is the case, it could be possible that the car was in an accident, in which it deployed and made the crack.

Ben has some validity, however, I see some fibers still attached as if the airbag didn't tear through it, so, its probably just a bad case of that cracking.
Many pre-'00 CLKs have that issue. Its a warranty fix, replace the entire dash.

Russ, this was an issue that we were discussing awhile back. The area around the passenger's side airbag is vulnerable to cracking, so please don't be too concerned about an accident. As far as I know it is a warranty fix, but I'd make a list of everything you need and make an appointment ASAP.

OMG! 2day i was cleaning my car and i have the same problem! i'm going to bring it to the dealer as soon as possible. is there anyother problems i should check on my 99 CLK320. thanks

This happened to my wife's 98 CLK320 around 44000 miles and it was repaired under warranty. It is a common problem with CLK and E-class(W210). Get it done soon before warranty expire, it would cost more than $700.00. Other than this, the 98 CLK320 has been a reliable car.
