Headers and supercharger
Cant find any specific info but I am running a modded GEN 2 HPS kit with the Eaton MP112 blower. I am trying to figure out my boost levels after I install headers and magnaflow muffler so I can make sure my custom pulley for my blower does not produce to much boost for my engine to handle. The HPS kit claims it runs 7LBS and I have heard that when you add headers you lower boost and maintain the same HP. Is this true and about how much will these mods lower Boost.
Some of you may be asking just add a boost gauge to help determine the new pulley which i am but my car is not running and yet to be tuned after modding the HPS kit. Due to my location I will have to go out of my way and it will not be cheap to get my car tuned so I would like to accomplish it in one shot on the same day with the stock pulley and the custom one. It takes three weeks to get a get a custom pulley machined so basically I am trying to predetermine the custom pulley size and avoid spending a couple thou to tune it and then wait a month turn around and spend another couple thou to retune.
