Would a Lorinser front bumper look stupid/bad without the rest of the kit?

Would a Lorinser front bumper look stupid/bad without the rest of the kit?
Hi,
I am thinking about adding a front Lorinser bumper with the foglights to my 2001 white CLK 430. Since I don't have the money to buy the whole kit + wheels at the same time, I might be driving with just the front bumper (the one with a big mesh) for some time.
Do you think it would be out of place on the car (considering that the rest: wheels, side skirts and rear bumper are AMG)?
Thanks!

i was thinking of doing the same thing because i like the AMG side skirts better then all the other brands. I think the lorinser front bumper is the best looking one out of all front bumpers. I dont how it would look though, thats why I never ended up doing it. As far as mixing AMG and Lorinser kits, you shouldnt care about that, as long as it looks good IMHO.

I second Mark's comment about mixing. Go with what you like, besides, mixing will give you a more custom, unique look. I like the stock AMG body except the front bumper design. Its just a little plain.
The Lorinser and Carlsson are the best.

I think it looks great! Except those sides grille vent. It look out of place. Doesn't look natural. Keep the Lorinser bumper and AMG stock and take out the side vents. This way it make your car look natural and solid looking. I like it!

2000 CLK430
I agree that the mixing of the bodykits will look just fine, only thing i would question would be the aggressive Lorinser front spoiler with stock 17" rims. To each his own, for me rims were the first thing to add to the appearance of the car, but its what you like, not what everyone else likes. I dont think it would look bad at all.

WOW DO IT!!
Just my opinion but I think it would look great. I've been thinking of making some mesh insert for my 430 an painting it black. Similer to the new W209 CLK500 mesh.
I'll post pictures once I do this little mod and can track down a mesh thats both strong and pliable enough to do the job. I'm thinking about trying the mesh Home Depot ( Gasp) sells to see if I can even get it to bend and install the way I would want it too.
I guess if I had to pick one feature of the the W209 that I like, it would be the cool black mesh grill....thats it though everythings else about that car makes me say...spend the monet on an Accord coupe and buy a sweet boat with the rest of the cash you saved!! :p
If the mesh idea crashes I will be sigining up for the Lorinser bumper....

Here ya go.......this is an old picture. I upgrade my grille mesh by using a countersunk screw to make the screw flushed with the holes. I also black out the verticle bars where the grille mesh mount onto.

Bansasn: Is that a stock AMG cumper that you midified?
Do you guys know how much a Lorinser front bumper is?
I noticed that the fog light is different (bigger) than the stock 430 fog light. Do you need to change it also?
Thanks

Your grill looks great....
and I may give that a shot (my cars silver as well) or I may try anf track down the material they are using in the W209 car. I like the way the W209 has the mesh convexed out from the grill.
If I can do this mod I 'll post some pics...
btw, hinhin , I think those are the factory fogs/drive lights, they just look bigger because the mesh is placed further back than the center slat grill thingy....

Bruce: Isn't it the stock AMG side skirt and rear bumper?
Mercguy: I was talking about the fog lights on the Lorinser bumper. I thought the fog light is bigger than the stock CLK 430 fog light. Maybe I need new glasses :-)
