Service A & B
hello...well i finally bought my first benz a month ago...and im glad to say its a CLK! The car is great....and im right about to turn 60K miles...Do i need a minor tune-up? Or should i follow what the FSS says...it is showing a wrench and say service in 8300. and since my car is a 99, how would I know if I will be needing a service A or B? I know the newer 2000+ models show 1 wrench for service A and 2 for service B.. Does anyone know of a good mechanic shop in So. Cal OC area they can refer to me? Got a quote for Service A from dealer and it turned out to be like $2100, Service B was like $3100. I just got laid off so kinda tight with funds.

I f am not mistaken, service A is 10, 30, 50 thousand miles
for service B is the 20, 40 thousand miles.
That is what I have been told by my service advisor.
Did they offer you extended maintenance warranty on the vehicle?

yeah i do have an extended warranty for the car but that is through a third party. im not sure if it covers maintenance services. is the A & B service something that is done in the early stages of the cars life? say before 80Kmiles
