resonator v muffler?
what exactly do you mean when you refer to replacing resonators?
I have the eisenmann exhaust on my 430? which is this?
sorry if im being stupid?
Your exhaust has a muffler on it, i believe when people say replacing the resonators, they ment replacing it with a stight pipe.
A Muffler would be what the Eissenman represents... just the final box that adjusts the sound (high/low/pitch) in the back with the tips.
Experts: how off am i?
I am not an expert on this subject, but I did have my resonator removed and installed a straight pipe on my CLK55.
The local turner guy told me that there are 4 CATS on the CLK. You can see them if the car is on the car lift. There is only 1 resonator, and it is located in the mid of the car, mor on the pasenger side. It is the largest cigar like piece on the CLK with 2 inlet and 1 outlet towards the exhaust.
under my car there is 1 cigar under the engine - which i assume is the cat then nothing all the way back to my eisenmann?
