Need find part: Trans pan magnet for 430 CLK.
Year 2000, Trans#722.623 Engine #113.943
Hello:
Vehicle is from the brief 3 year era when some pointy headed MB engineers believed in lifetime transmission fluid--never needs to be changed. What a pant load of BS that was. So, am changing out the trans fluid, and my vehicle does NOT have the pan magnet. Would like to put one in. Can anyone direct me to a internet vendor that has this Trans. pan magnet, and part number ?
Thanks

Did not get a response to my Personal Message from Ohlord, and, before your posting, I had already ordered the parts on the web from ECS Tuning. It is the only site that had the pan magnet. Here is a price comparison between the web vendor and the local dealership--the dealership was twice as much, and it didn't have many of the parts in stock, so it would have had to special order them anyway, causing a delay comparable to the regular 4-7 day shipping time from ECS. The ECS shipping was $18.
Got These Parts From ECS Tuning:..................Dealer.......ECS Tuning
Drain Plug Washer OEM Part # 140-271-00-60....$1.60.........$0.85
Pan Gasket.........OEM Part # 140-271-00-80....$20.67........$12.34
Pan Filter...........OEM Part # 140-277-00-95....$25.11.........$25.11
Pan Magnet........OEM Part # 220-271-00-98....$32.50........$3.03
Dipstick Lock Pin..OEM Part # 140-991-00-55....$1.60..........$0.85
AT Plug Adapter OEM Part # 203-540-02-53....$15,00........$8.05
.................................................. ...Total.... $96.48........$50.23
Checked out MB Annapolis (searched by part number) and, unfortunately, in order to determine shipping costs you have to enter all of your personal info and your credit card info, before you know the shipping costs. Not for me.
Checked out MB Lincoln and it didn't have the magnet or the plug adapter (searched by part number), and I didn't go any farther with it.
Thanks anyway. I appreciate the help.

fluid change interval
At what interval/mileage do you recommend changing your transmission fluid? Is there a DYI available, any specail tools required?
Thanks
