Need tire advise 265/35/18s
I'm new to the forum but I've learned alot from all you just by following all the threads. My question is I'm in the process of buying wheels/tires but unsure if 265/35/18s would pose clearance problems. I'd appreciate comments from members who are currently using this size for the rear. Tire brand and rim would help as well
235/40/18s front on a 8 or 8.5 inch wheels
265/35/18s rear on a 9 or 9.5 inch wheels
I currently don't have plans to lower the car (CLK430)

As far as if you're going with 18"s. I believe the recommended size for the rear is 255/40/18. You can go with the 265's on the rear but that may cause rubbing problems. Also get 18x8.5front and 18x9.5rear. Hope this helps.
