01 clk 430 Front end shakes really bad help!
around 40 -70 steering wheel shakes badly. I've changed the tires the rims balance out, I do have wheel spacers I changed them to hubcentric spacers with no luck.
It doesnt seem like anything is loose, anyone have any Idea's what could be causing the shake? I noticed there is a shock looking deal in the center behind the k member what does that do?
Also the rotors are not warped.

That may be the steering damper
I bought one off ebay for $19 + $10 shipping. It is only held on by a bolt at each end so should be an easy replacement. I had the same problem with the shaking but a good tire balance and replacing the damper fixed the problem.
