The answer is no lol and you will get alot attention because you have the badge on your trunk . Its ok to have the rims and the AMG bumpers but no engine no badge .

Goo Gone will fix that for ya. The W208 is one of my dream cars, and we should be proud of em' regardless of trim level. Welcome to the fold.

For performance, I admit I'm not familiar with 320's. RENNtech, Kleeman, etc are good companies to look into.

I just have to throw my .02 cents in and chime in to help you out a bit.

This forum is going to chew you up and spit you out for having that AMG badge. This is a very proud forum and has alot of valuable information that will keep your car running with minimal cost and be able to get lots of help with upgrading. So...what I am saying is that the AMG badge rightfully belongs to those cars that were hand built and tuned from the factory by the AMG guys themselves and are rightfully so the only guys that should be able to rock the badge as well.

A mercedes fanatic will quickly know that the car is in fact not and AMG and will cause you some embarrasment when it happens so its just better to pull it off. You still have a Mercedes W208 that is considered by most to be a CLASSIC style that will still be admired in the years to come so BE PROUD of what you got instead of making it something its not.

A 320 has lots of pull while still maintaining some BAD *** fuel economy as well so.... OK OK I hope you don't take offense to my post as I am just trying to save you some heartache over what most will call you when they see this. I want you to be a member of this site and enjoy it without being harrased LOL.

Ok now I am getting off the stage

The MB intake is pretty well aimed at the front grill. Kind of like ram air if you will. You would do best to follow that path with something more open. I have pondered what it might be like to run the intake down into the front bumper where the fog lights sit. I never used my lights, and had to pull them for my state inspection anyway.

I know Green Filter makes a filter for C320. If they use the same airbox as the CLK I'd imagine that's a good upgrade for getting air to your engine. I'd be weary of K&N. I have never used one, but I hear bad stories on this forum regarding MAF sensor problems when using K&N. I hear as many good stories too so it seems to be a crapshoot. I just avoid them altogether.

I know there is a good/bad stories about the K&N filters but never had any problem with my MAF ( I used that for all my cars and my cousins cars).

99CLK320,
mods

if I read your first question correctly you asked what mods would help your 320? correct? I didn't see anywhere where it said "would you like to give me **** because the previous owner put an AMG badge on my car?"

VIPclk320 has a cold air intake that is better than any you will find out there. he also has front and rear strut bars that really help flatten out the car in turns. I have all three and am very please. the best bang for your buck is to get your ECU remapped/chip tune by INMotionusa, Powerchip, Speedtuning. There are others out there so do your homework. next and more expensive would be to get a sport or race resonator and muffler from SuperSprint or Magnaflow. There are no factory makers of headers. Ghostrider on this forum is working on some now for the V6. He has fabricated short tube headers for his 430 that he has installed as we speak with reasonable improvements. You can't get alot more out of the V6 unless you spend huge money. 4-5 grand will get some nice improvements. Oh, and SprintBooster will help with the throttle delay.

Congrats on your new acquisition...and welcome!

Performance increases will depend on your budget. How much are you looking to spend?
