CLK430
I'm looking at CLK's to purchase, a friend of mine had a 99' CLK320 and I thought the body was nice, but I just never liked the fact it was a V6. I would love to have a CLK430 because it has a V8. Well, I checked for mods for them, like Renntech etc. But it seems like they lack support for the 430... But more so for the 320 etc. Is there any aftermarket support for the 430? Or is it just the 320 and others? Thanks!

A stock CLK320 runs low 15's in the quarter (maybe high 14's). A stock CLK430 runs high 13's in the quarter. A CLK55 runs low 13's in the quarter. BlackBenzz' CLK55K is faster than a timer can accurately record.
It's always easier to start with the fastest vehicle and make that faster.
If you're into motorcycles, this will make perfect sense: Stock ZX-10's run 9's in the quarter. The best performance mod a ZX-6 owner can do is to BUY a ZX-10.

get a clk55
I agree with marcus get the 55. I prob see myself swapping in a 55 in the future because I know what they are capable of. If you want performance I would start with that platform!

looking at clk
Interesting. It's just I was looking for mods for the CLK430. Like exhaust/intake/chip, you know the usual without going ***** out with $$. If I wanted crazy performance, I would deff look into the CLK55 but I want something that looks good, sounds great and I can work on from time to time, also be my DD. You know what I mean?

There were enough updates to keep me happy. All I wanted was louder exhaust and handling that was better than stock.
Mine has only 62k and I have had no problems except trans which M-B replaced under warranty.

Confirms the 55 even more
If all you want is minor performance upgrades than get the most out of your money and get the 55. The car will still be very reliable with an ecu tune, exhaust, intake, plugs, wires etc your just improving on what is there and not going to crazy with the performance but you could slapp on a kleemann blower and I here of cars still running fine till this day and had them installed when the cars were new in the earlier 2000s.
