Ordered New Headlight and Taillights

I just wanted to post this for the ones who haven't updated their headlights and taillights. It took me awhile to figure out everything I needed and where to buy them the cheapest. Hope this helps out for future reference. Thanks "BaByBoiGsxR" for all the help.

I bought my new Projectors Headlights from EBay member" Zomkspeed". The total cost with delivery was $298.99. It was the best price at the time. This seller has been fair with communication and delivery times. It took (5) days for delivery.

I purchased my new L.E.D. taillights from EBay member "xrteam". The total cost with delivery was $229.99. This seller has been fair with communication and delivery times. It took (7) days for delivery.

The setup I'm using is an HID kit for my headlights and fog lights. The bulbs are the exact same size as the ones that came on the new headlamps. I used H7's for the headlights, and H1's for the fog lights. The color I chose for the HID's are 6000k, it's probably the best choice for those who want that "super clean" look for their cars. 6000k is crystal white. 8000k has a bluish tint to it. 5000k/4500k is the normal yellow OEM color. I purchased my kits today from:

Advan-Emotion, Inc.
12121 Barringer St
South El Monte , CA 91733
Phone : (626) 442 0471
Fax : (626) 442 0400

They cost me total with delivery (free shipping) was $75.98. That was for both the headlights and fog lights. Pretty damn good price. Hopefully I will have everything installed next week. I will post some pictures as soon as they are installed.

Good stuff man. I just purchased those headlights yesterday too from the same seller. Can't wait to get them and have them installed.

I want to change the blinker lights to a chrome amber bulb though. What size bulbs are the blinker lights?

Please let us know how the night visibility is with those LED tail lights--I was thinking of purchasing them but I heard someone say they have terrible clarity.

I doubt it--H7 is the stock halogen bulb, and D2S is the stock HID bulb.

I have them and that statement is in no way how I feel. They are really bright. Now if they are referring to the newer model that comes completely smoked than that may be true. I don't know I have never seen them in person.

I installed the taillights over the weekend. I will be writing up a DYI in the next couple of days. It really wasn't that bad of a install. I have attached some pictures for reference. ....... and yes, I know... the Louisville badge has to go!

That statement is so untrue. These lights are super bright. You can see them from a very far distance. They are way brighter than stock ones!

The answer to your question is 35w. I havent heard anyone having any issues with melting the plastic. Anyone else is free to step in if they have discovered an issue with this.

Headlights are installed. It makes the car look 10 times better. It took me three hours to install. Not a very fun job to do but all worth in the end.

You're welcome J.

Glad to know that i can be of some help to enhancing your car's looks. yeah man, what a lot of people don't know is that not all, but "MOST" hid kits sold out there are practically the same, the only difference is the box they came in and the stickers placed on the ballasts. but the real expensive ones are actually created differently.

when you're all done and finalized with everything, you'll thank yourself for buying everything you did. it'll all be worth it.

So where did you end up mounting the ballast, for the fogs and headlights?

I'm curious as to where everyone else has mounted them. There is really no good places to install them. Ill take some pics of where I have them placed. They are not mounted as of now. I have yet to decide where a good solid place would be. Awesome question. Anyone want to feel us in on this?

Well, this was from a couple of other people with the LED tails on the forum but maybe the quality improved lately?

On second thoughts, I think I'm sticking with OEM tails for a while just because I'm too lazy to pull the stockers out

Guys I need some advice here. I just upgraded my HID kits cause my old ones (above) went bad. The German mechanic that installed my news ones is now telling my that I need to get buy new projector headlights that do not have the plastic housing. Is this true? Do they make a such thing? He said the HID bulbs will get so hot it will start to melt the plastic. The headlights I purchased (above) were not made for HID bulbs. Did I buy the wrong (plastic) headlights instead of glass? He said my lights would last about two months.

I've had halogen and projector HID's in both plastic lens and glass lens lights with no issue. Tell your mechanic to stuff it and find a new mech.

100% agree...mechanic doesn't know what he's talking about. HID lights run cooler then stock halogens. Halogen lights rely on heat to produce light where as the HID relies on an electric arc.

From reading the thread it looks like you found some cheap HID units since you got them both for under a $100 bucks. I would try a better supplier. I have iJDMToy LED and HID lights everywhere and I can vouche for the quality of the units. I've had them for almost a year and no flickering, melting or anything of that sorts.
