will not divert to central blower
Hi all some great fixes on here I have to say!! I have a 2002 clk430 and for some reason air will only blow through the side and windscreen vents. I have no issue with the blower regulator as the speed control works perfectly and the fan is consistent at the speeds.

I just recently recharged the refrigerant following great advice on here and would like to get full use back.

I Have tried closing the side vents and changing the direction on the control system no joy it just will not divert to foot and main central vents.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

sounds like you have no vacume going to the a/c control flaps. look under the hood behind the engine cover and see if the thin white vacume line has come off

Brilliant bbspoolside!! I looked at it and at first it seemed ok but then pulled slightly and it moved freely it is diconnected behind the engine cover. Do you know where to connect it back in?

pull the engine cover off then start the engine and you will hear a vacume leak near the maf sensor

i got the same prob BUT ONLY WITH HEAT.. WHY IS THAT?
WITH AC COOL AIR, IT WORKS FINE BUT WHEN I TURN THE HEATER ON, ONLY FROM THE SIDE.
do u have any idea why?

hi bigmike no worries on the hijack front from reading other threads central doesn't work on auto light on could be that but here a total newbie will bow to the masters if not right!

Found it after days of hunting!
Behind and below the MAF there is a black tube connect the thin white tube into the black tube and voila blowers back working again!
