can yall explain to me what different number of PAD are and what they do to the spring? does it make the car lower or higher? i am planning to order H&R spring with bilstein sport shock and a camber kit. how do you guy get your car that low with just H&R spring? do i have to buy the PAD separately to make my car lower? thanks

PAD is that rubber piece that sit on top of the spring... it keeps it from squeeking and moving .. but i dotn have pad at all and it does not squeeze at all ..(in other word, im sitting metal to metal)
PAd can make it higher or lower depends on the pad number.. the lowest one for our car is from FROM E320 , pad #1 CLK goes to number 2 only and they are thicker than the #1 from e 320.

i got HR aggressive spring and KONI and camber kit for front and rear.
to lower it with just HR spring, u can change the pad and get #1 from e320 and u get em from dealer and they are $9 each, around $42 for all 4.

no u can keep the pad that u have but it wont be as low and u will wanna go lower and save money and labor and get #1 from e320 and do em all at once .

hope i have answered all your questions

If u are not using pads all, it will look like mine.. do u have 18 or 19? i got 19s... Mine rubs only if u bust a complete U turn, rub LIL bit and other than that im fine..
Some people says its ok and some say its not safe but the spring is pressed so there is no way of loosing the spring.. some people have pads and some dont... i had lil nose during that blizzard that we had and i put grease and noise is gone for good...
HR aggressive is LIL lower than regular HR ,drop wise...
u can keep the bilstien shock but when u lower it, its always better to upgrade em to racing shock ...
HELL NO, U NEED FRONT AND REAR CAMBER, DONT LOWER IT WITH NO CAMBER, U WILL BE EATING TIRES LIKE NO TOMORROW, BEEN THERE DONE THAT.. IM SURE EVERYONE WILL AGREE THAT U NEED CAMBER IF U ARE LOWERING IT LIKE MINE

Can I run #1 pad in the front and keep #2 in the back, I want my front to be lower, also will the stock Bilstein last long or will it bust quick? Also can I get by with just the rear camber kit and go wihout camber in the front

I have #1's in the front and #2's in the rear. A rear kit is helpful, and a front kit will be coming soon!

i see that they do show up when i search under the clk320. the sport cup kit are way lower then the regular. they are 1.9'' F, 1.6''R compare to 1.4, 1.3 for the regular. and they do come with shocks also. and they are price at $450 more then the regular. BIG MIKE i know that you got the kit but why didnt you use the shock that come with it, why did you switch out to the Bilstein sport shock? i think i have a pretty sure on what i want to do with my available pocket, let me know if it will work. Regular H&R spring with #1 pad from E320 for front, and #2 stock pad that came with our clk for the rear, Stock BilStein shock that came with the car, and a rear camber kit from Ghost rider. Will this work for me? thanks

Couple of things to keep in mind, I ran my stock shocks with lowering springs for a while. It will be a little bouncy but not bad. You should also verify that the rear spring pads on your car are #2's.
