I read an extensive thread on reprogramming these keys from ebay and it seems like the consensus is it is IMPOSSIBLE to have these keys work for your car after they've been programmed for a certain car from the factory.

Smart Key

Even when a Smart Key is ordered from the dealer, the amount of time it takes for the car to "recognize" the new key varies from less than an hour to several hours.

I know that you can have a car programmed not to recognize a key (ie., if you lose one)... therefore, i don't think it is 'impossible' to program the car to recognize a new key.

but there are always ways to work around the system...
